Welcome to Barrakka Suite + Knight’s Rest at Valletta City Suites, where historic character meets modern comfort in the heart of Valletta. Newly launched in August 2026, this unique accommodation forms part of a beautifully restored 400-year-old building, where original architectural features have been carefully preserved and complemented by contemporary furnishings and amenities.

Tucked away in a quiet pedestrian alley, the property enjoys its own private entrance directly from the street, while being just a short walk from Valletta’s cafés, restaurants, shops, museums and many of the capital’s most iconic attractions, including the Upper Barrakka Gardens, St John’s Co-Cathedral and the Grand Harbour.

Barrakka Suite forms the main part of the accommodation and features a distinctive split-level layout with:

• A comfortable queen-size bed on an open intermediate/mezzanine level
• A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with contemporary furnishings
• A fully equipped kitchen
• A striking feature wall inspired by the iconic views from the Upper Barrakka Gardens

Directly interconnected with Barrakka Suite is Knight’s Rest, providing an additional bedroom with its own en-suite shower room. This is a fully enclosed private bedroom, making the combined accommodation particularly suitable for families, friends or two couples travelling together.

Please note that the two sleeping areas offer different levels of privacy. Knight’s Rest provides a fully enclosed private bedroom with its own en-suite shower room, while the sleeping area within Barrakka Suite is arranged on an open mezzanine level overlooking the living area, forming part of the suite’s distinctive split-level design.

Guests also have access to the shared rooftop terrace of Valletta City Suites, located in the adjacent main building and accessed through a separate entrance (or Knight’s Rest private yard). Furnished with sunbeds, tables and chairs, the terrace provides a relaxing outdoor space from which to enjoy rooftop views across Valletta’s historic cityscape.

The accommodation is equipped with modern, energy-efficient air conditioning for both cooling and heating. A small contribution is payable for air-conditioning use at a very economical rate, with the aim of encouraging sensible energy consumption while keeping guests comfortable throughout their stay.
